May Day or International Workers' Day
May 1st is internationally observed as May Day (পহেলা মে আন্তর্জাতিকভাবে মে দিবস হিসাবে পালন করা হয়). It is also called the International Workers' Day (একে আন্তর্জাতিক শ্রমিক দিবসও বলা হয়). The day is observed to commemorate the historic struggle of working people (দিনটি শ্রমজীবী মানুষের ঐতিহাসিক সংগ্রামের স্মরণে পালিত হয়). The day is observed in most of the countries of the world (দিবসটি বিশ্বের বেশিরভাগ দেশে পালিত হয়). The day has a historical background (দিনটির একটি ঐতিহাসিক পটভূমি রয়েছে). At present, the workers enjoy some privileges such as minimum wages, safety laws and eight hours workday (বর্তমানে শ্রমিকরা ন্যূনতম মজুরি, সুরক্ষা আইন এবং আট ঘন্টা কর্মদিবসের মতো কিছু সুবিধা ভোগ করে).
